Rae Rae and I did some paddling this afternoon. Nice high tide, due in part to the new moon. Speaking of the new moon this is a great time to do some star watching. Very dark sky here in Cedar Key. Anyway Rachel and I were out in a kayak today at high tide. Periwinkle snails were climbing the needle rush and Spartina grass to get above the tide. Idea. Collect a bunch, and Google a recipe for Periwinkle stew. Raechel began collecting and about 250 snails later and a lot of fun it was bon Appétit.
